HOW TO MAKE IT:
Chai needs to be “decocted”, or simmered, to release the properties of it’s woody constituents. Put your herbs and water together in a saucepan and bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low or medium-low so that only very small bubbles rise to the surface. Once simmered for about 15-20 minutes, let it cool, covered. Then, strain it and store it in a glass jar in the fridge.
When you are ready to enjoy it, mix a 1/2 cup of tea concentrate and a 1/2 cup of your favorite milk and reheat. Once hot, you can steep green or black tea in your tea/milk mixture or have it as is. Add stevia or honey to sweeten or have it unsweetened. It’s great served cold over ice too!
HOW TO ORDER IT:
I teamed up with my long time herbalist bestie, Dusti of DandyLionEmporium, to bring you my Chai tea recipe. She’s offering my friends 15% off of your first order over $50, if your order includes our REVITALIZING CHAI. Use the code CHAI15% at Dandy Lion Emporium. She offers a mix of artisanal herbal tea blends and my favorite, Heart Honey.
Our Revitalizing Chai comes in 1 oz or 4 oz bags. A 1 oz bag makes about a quart of tea concentrate, a 4 oz bag will make about a gallon.
